Project Overview


Lumen Nest is a contemporary homeware brand known for its minimalist aesthetics and artisanal lighting collections. Ahead of their seasonal product launch, the brand wanted to rethink how it presented its catalog—both in print and online. Their goal was to elevate the perception of their home collections by creating a visually immersive experience that would appeal to interior designers, stylists, and discerning homeowners alike. The current catalog was functional but lacked the emotive pull and narrative depth that could showcase their craft and ethos.

We were brought in to reimagine the entire customer journey, from the moment someone picked up a printed catalog to the scrollable experience of browsing it online. The focus was on creating a cohesive story that blended elegance, product detail, and editorial richness.

Objective


The goal of this project was to transform how Lumen Nest’s offerings were perceived by their core audiences. We needed to create a catalog that felt less like a product list and more like a curated visual story—a piece of design that people would want to keep, refer to, and be inspired by. At the same time, the digital component of the experience had to serve as both an extension and evolution of that story, allowing users to browse collections intuitively, discover new arrivals, and explore the inspiration behind each design. The objective wasn’t just to increase sales; it was to enhance the brand’s positioning in a saturated design market, where presentation is as important as product quality.

Scope of Work


Our collaboration with Lumen Nest covered every major touchpoint:

  • Print Catalog Design
    We created a 68-page lookbook with full-bleed photography, product storytelling, and textured paper finishes to match their brand’s tactile appeal.

  • Online Showcase Website
    The site was custom-built to mirror the editorial feel of the print version, with smooth page transitions and collection filtering powered by a CMS.

  • Product Styling and Art Direction
    We directed the visual tone of the product photography to ensure cohesion across mediums and highlight the craftsmanship of each piece.

  • Typography and Layout Systems
    We developed a modular grid system and typographic voice that allowed for both visual rhythm and clarity—balancing function and mood.

  • Interactive Features
    The online version included hover states, subtle animations, and product zoom features to elevate digital engagement.

Outcome


The release of the Aurora Home catalog marked a shift in how Lumen Nest communicates with its audience. The print edition was picked up by several design publications and featured in boutique showrooms across Australia, helping to increase brand exposure in new regions. Meanwhile, the online showcase attracted attention from global interior professionals, leading to a 26% increase in wholesale inquiries within the first month.

Feedback from customers emphasized how immersive and luxurious the new experience felt—many describing it as more like flipping through a design magazine than a traditional catalog. The project ultimately redefined how Lumen Nest connects with the design community, positioning them not only as a homeware supplier but as a curator of modern living.
